I always wanted to have a beach wedding. I did not want anything grand. I wanted things to be simple and casual. My wedding dress was just a plain white summer dress and I wore bride flip flops instead of the usual stilettos that most girls prefer.

The theme for my wedding was very casual and I indicated in my invitation to let my guests come in bohemian attire. I chose bohemian since it was very festive and peaceful at the same time. The beach was decorated with a bohemian theme and everything was perfect.

I particularly liked my flip flops. It was not like other flip flops that you would see in most stores. It looked elegant and comfortable at the same time. I was really proud of my find. It was an ivory colored flip flop embellished with silver. It was very soft and comfortable as well. I knew that I would not be complaining about having sore feet any time in the ceremony and even in the reception.

I also ordered matching turquoise summer dresses for my bridesmaids and found bridesmaid flip flops in the same color as well. I loved the fact that I found matching flip flops for them. My friends would definitely look lovely in my wedding day I was so sure of it.

As I predicted, my friends loved their flip flops and was glad that they did not have to wear uncomfortable heels. I was not very fond of wearing high heeled shoes as well so I shared the same sentiments. Our flip flops looked so cute that we even had the official wedding photographer take a picture of out feet sporting the cool looking flip flops.

As I wanted, I was able to survive the wedding ceremony and the reception, the never ending photographs, greeting and mingling each guest and the dancing that followed without my feet aching. I was able to enjoy everything and I was not even exhausted once everything was over and we finally got to collapse in bed. My husband was not able to understand where all these energy was coming from since he was pretty spent himself. I could tell that he was proud and glad that I was not becoming the spoiled brat that I usually am and complaining about how tired I was.

If you plan to have a beach wedding like mine, forget about shoes. You should definitely get yourself some women’s bride flip flops for maximum comfort.
